Track & Field (5th-8th)
Our short track season is in full swing. The JCS team will be participating in the College of the Redwoods Invitational on Thursday, May 2 and will end the season with the League Championships on Saturday, May 11. Check out the schedule in the Athletics’ Bulletin Board in the front of the school if you are interested in watching a meet and supporting our athletes!
Humboldt County is a rural community, there is often a wait for well care visits. Families of student athletes should consider calling their primary care physicians now to schedule their pre-participation physical appointments for over the summer. Girls’ volleyball (7 & 8), golf (coed 5-8), and cross country (coed 3-8) will start at the very beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Please look out for more information via “Tuesday notes and emails”. Sport specific parent meetings for fall sports will be scheduled after teams are established. All students must be cleared in order to try out or begin practices. Clearance forms are available in the office. In order to have a K-2 cross country team parent volunteers are required. Please contact Davita McGoldrick if you are able to commit to being a volunteer coach.
Paperwork Necessary for Participation:
